I LOVE Beth and Michelle over at Fare Necessities !!! When I saw Beth's Recipe for Steakhouse Meatloaf, I knew I had to try it. This is my take on her recipe <3
Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey
3 strips turkey bacon, cubed and cooked
15 saltine crackers crushed (about 2/3 cup)
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic onion seasoning
1 teaspoon steak seasoning ( I used Spicy Montreal Steak Seasoning by McCormick)
1 tablespoon onion flakes ( or if you have a real onion, you can do what Beth does!)
a few drops of water
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire
Topping Sauce:
2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
1 tablespoons Ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire
Preheat grill to 400ish. (cooking using indirect heat, so try and get your heat on one side of the grill so you can put your meatloaf on the other side!)
=)
In a microwave safe bowl, heat onion flakes and water for about 20 seconds.
Mix all ingredients together, except the topping sauce ingredients.
On a sheet of foil that has been sprayed with PAM, form your meatloaf.
Cook over indirect heat for about 25 minutes, rotate meatloaf
At 30-35 minutes, mix topping sauce together and top meatloaf
40-45 minutes you should be done, check the internal temp with your food thermometer!
This turned out good, but kind of soft. I only used 10 saltines, so I upped the recipe to 15. The ground turkey always turns out so much more moist than the beef and I didn't take that in to consideration.

This sounds so delish.
ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome that you made it your own. Probably just needs adjusting for the different meat. Yours also looks like it rendered a lot less fat than mine, so I'm sure it was better for you. Looks awesome! (Btw, thank you for the compliments.)
ReplyDeleteYou are ever so welcome :) You deserve every ounce of praise plus some! I am going to try Michelle's recipe soon!
