Successful Together: Pumpkin Brownies

May 04, 2011

Pumpkin Brownies

1 snack size box Duncan Hines Brownie mix
1 cup canned pumpkin (100% pumpkin, not the pie filling)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4-1 cup water

Preheat oven to 350. Combine ingredients and bake in a glass 8x8 pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Cook 30-35 minutes.

Makes 12 servings @ 3 Point+ each!

Per Hubby, these are better than the banana ones! The banana ones get sweeter the longer you let them sit, so I stuck the left overs in the freezer!

  1. How did pumpkin and chocolate taste? I don't really think of those two flavors going together, but I've never tried it either. Thought I'd ask.

  2. Hey Beth! I think it is really good. THe pumpkin taste isnt super defined. These came out very soft, so I think I will bake them a bit long next time. I will get my hubby to try tonight so I can share his thoughts with yall too!

  3. I have seen those brownies before and have always wondered how the pumpkin tasted with the chocolate, too. Glad Beth asked :-)

  4. Hubby gives these 2 thumbs up! He likes them better than the banana ones!

  5. Mmm...I need to try this! Pumpkin seems to go well with a lot. I recently tried corn bread made w/pumpkin which was good.

  6. Angie! I've used this w/lots of different cake mixes, too, but you use a whole cake mix w/a 15 oz can of pumpkin & that's it-really good in most any mix! Thanks for the reminder!

  7. @Dee. OH MY! I will have to try that! :)
@RENNY! HI!!!!!!! Pineapple is good in cake mixes too! :) ♥

  8. Hi! I have a linky party going on at my blog called A Themed Baker’s Sunday where this week’s theme is chocolate! I’d love for you to link up! Hope to see you there!

  9. What a great idea! I'll have to try these. Thanks for linking up to A Well-Seasoned Life's Sweet Indulgences Sunday! Kim
